Inside the Moonpool, set up the Vehicle Modification Station and the Fabricator. You may need a couple of attempts to get this right, I know I did. You should be close enough to the vent to power your base. Put up your Moonpool next to one of these vents, and build your Thermal Generators on top of the Moonpool. What you are looking for are thermal vents. Once you reach the centre of Lost River, where it splits east to the Secondary Containment Facility and west to Tree Cove, it's time to stop and take a look around. If you've not been before, I'd suggest following the beacon signal for Lifepod 2 (build a Thermal Generator if you don't have the signal yet.
